Sprout had always been heavily attached to Cosmo. So attached to the point Sam, his Toon Handler had to separate them manually and keep them away from each other for 2-3 days of the week as well as Sprout having to take counseling from Sam and him being forced to engage with other Toons.
Sam wasn’t the best counselor for Sprout and would usually make him read books by himself in the break room.. Unbeknownst to Arthur and Delilah who had thought Sprout was improving.
Sprout ended up learning how to outsmart them by becoming caring and overprotective of the other Toons like he was to Cosmo.
And after Gardenview shutdown.. there were no mandatory breaks from Cosmo. Nor useless counseling sessions.
If only Sam had cared more…
An AU in which Sprouts attachment issues and dependency on Cosmo are multiplied ten fold.
