Summary
Madara miscalculated. The Leaf shinobi arrived before Obito’s loyalty to them could be eliminated, and so, he returned to the village with them. His pain, of course, tagged along.
I wish I could say this is all about romance, but yeah, not quite. This story can be divided into two parts. First is about unhealthy coping mechanisms, toxic relationships, low self esteem and martyrdom. The next is about healing, growth, confronting problems and fixing past mistakes. There’s love involved, of course, but at first it is not gentle.

Summary
As much as Starfleet was a peaceful organisation, it wasn’t uncommon for them to enforce said peace. After all, conflicts weren’t rare across the galaxy. Some races opposed the Federation and, by extension, Starfleet because they deemed something to be unfair, some simply couldn’t see past their egos. Khaenri’ahns were one of those species, and their refusal to keep peace brought an exceptional amount of problems.
