    “What’s the line, Shoto?” Katsuki asks, pressing. He needs it defined, needs it solid. “Where’s the boundary? Is it kissing deeply? Is it under the clothes? Where do we stop?”

    Another long pause. He can almost hear Shoto thinking, can picture the slight frown, the distant look in his stupid eyes.

    “The line,” Shoto says slowly, “is anything that would damage our working relationship after this ends. Anything that would make it impossible for us to be partners when we walk away. That’s the only boundary that matters.”

    So it's not a physical boundary. It’s an emotional one. Feelings. And that's so much more dangerous.

    OR:
    The mission is simple: fake date convincingly, secure the asset. Nobody mentioned the part where "convincing" means letting Todoroki fucking Shoto suck love bites into his neck. Katsuki will be filing a complaint.

    “Alright, IcyHot. You’ve got a kid all of a sudden. You look like you haven’t slept in a week. You’re jumping at shadows. It’s time to fucking talk. Now.”

    Shoto just stares, his mind trying and failing to process the scene. Poppy is safe. She’s with Katsuki. Which is…. somehow, a scenario his panicked brain accepts as safe.

    After Katsuki shows up to the dorms drunk after a night spent at his mother's house, some things become extremely apparent to his classmates and teachers.
    One: Katsuki will refuse to admit anything is ever wrong.
    Two: There's something wrong with Katsuki, something very wrong, and they have no idea what it is.
    Three: Katsuki is in a violent downward spiral, and no one knows how to help.

    Katsuki always attracts the worst in his life. For as long as he can remember, nothing was ever easy and painless. This especially comes true as he starts his UA high school journey. Now he has dangerous, slippery nightmares he can't explain, a mother who seems intent on beating the villain out of him, and nosy teachers asking all of the wrong questions. To top it off, his classmates are watching him more closely than ever before.
    Katsuki isn't sure what will come first- him splintering into pieces under the pressure, or everyone learning the truth. To make it worse, he has no idea which of those options he'd prefer.
