Summary
Charles and Erik have been in a relationship for a good few months, but they’ve been keeping it under wraps. After all, no one needs to know, right? It wouldn’t necessarily be a problem if the rest of the team knew, but still, it’s somewhat thrilling to cast secret, flirty glances at each other across the room.
Meanwhile, every single member of the team is pretty convinced that they’ve been sleeping together. They may or may not be keeping count of the amount of times they’ve noticed Charles and Erik gazing lovingly at each other. Alex even caught them holding hands at one point, and he couldn’t wait to tell everyone.
But Raven takes the cake when she stumbles upon Charles and Erik making out in the kitchen.

Summary
Childhood fears are weird. And embarrassing. You’re supposed to grow out of them, right? Charles wishes he did.
When Charles was ten years old, he was the victim of a vicious dog attack, and he still has the scars.
The nightmares have mostly stopped, and so have the spells of panic and anxiety. Mostly. But still, maybe he should’ve seen someone about it as a child, because he still gets freaked out in the presence of a dog, particularly bigger ones. His breath still gets shallow, and his hands still shake. But dogs are easy enough to avoid, right? It’s fine, he’ll be fine.
The problem arises on a mission when they run into a truck inspection that they weren’t prepared for. Now there’s a big dog who just so happens to sniff through Charles’ mental control and climbs into the truck WITH THEM, and oh shit, Charles wasn’t expecting to have to fight off a panic attack surrounded by professional military men and Erik Lehnsherr.

A fanfic in which I take the deleted scene in First Class where the dog climbs into the truck to bark at them and write an alternate version of it where Charles has a phobia of dogs and it sets him off.

It all started thanks to an accident, somewhere late at night in Richmond. One too many bourbons for Charles, one too many beers for Erik. So when Charles spilled his drink, and himself, onto Erik’s lap, Erik didn’t think. He just laughed, called Charles something sharp in German and slapped his arse. Twice.
