He didn’t remember when he had gotten close to the kids, it just happened. Suddenly, he was “Giyuu-san” (or the derogatory use of “Dad” or "Mom" used by Inosuke when he says anything parental-like) to a group of teenagers.
He glanced to his left, where Muichiro was staring off into space, walking beside him. He had spent the night at the water estate again, after showing up, dazed and confused, in the rain. Not that Giyuu minded, he had a few Yukatas and such saved, as well as ready room for him, or the other kids, in his home that he had bought after realizing that having Tanjiro meant attracting whoever else was with Tanjiro. He also wondered how Tanjiro had so many friends, and managed to attract them like flies. But he did enjoy having the kids over, they were a lot to deal with, all in all, but they were sort of nice, they made his Estate livelier and just… better.
OR: Giyuu Tomioka slowly finds himself becoming a parent for the kids around him, and they slowly accumulate at his lovely estate hidden behind the waterfall, because I live for found family and them.

Summary
Because Omegas, despite what their sweet scent may tell you, they are far from the kind and gentle beings that society often portrays them to be. Many who dared to harm an Omega's pup have been reported to have missing limbs, eyes, or fingers/toes from such a foolish mistake. Those are the lucky ones. There have been reports of some attackers being left on death's door, or delivered straight to a shinigami for having dared hurt one of their pups. Even demons fear messing with children if they still have a milky scent on them, lest they incur an Omega parents wrath.
tl;dr
Giyuu is not a Beta, but actually an Omega who sees the Kamado siblings as his own pups. Things get interesting, for lack of a better word, when Sanemi stabs Nezuko. Nobody but Rengoku & Ubuyashiki know he's actually an Omega.
Note: Chapter 4 of "What You're Thinking Of ? [You've Seen Me Bare]" and Chapter(s) 4-5 + 13 of "When Floodgates Burst" were consulted and VERY HEAVILY inspired MANY things which occurs in this fic.

Summary
Omegas were well known for their patient, caring nature. They were sensitive souls— but that’s not to say they were weak. No, omegas were terrifying, especially when their pups were in danger.
Shinazugawa’s blade dug through the box, stabbing into the demon, and the high-pitched wail that rang through the garden was unbearable.
A pup was crying. Two pups were crying: Tanjiro and whatever was in that box.
When a pup cried like this, usually their parents came running, no matter how far away they were. It was a cry for help, only used when in severe distress or danger.
And for a second, nothing happened.
Then all hell broke loose.
Shinazugawa was sent flying, everyone else had fallen over in the process of whoever-it-was that’d rushed over. The box that contained the demon was placed down in front of that Kamado kid. The boy wrapped himself around it, protecting it with his own body as he sobbed.
As their daze cleared, they all realized that it had been Tomioka to rush to the kid’s aid, reeking of distressed, enraged omega.
But that didn’t make sense. Tomioka was a beta. Right?
To say that they were confused was an understatement.

Summary
What if Giyuu actually got to the Kamados in time?
Except he survives- and so do Nezuko and Tanjiro, both human.However, Muzan's poison isn't easy to cure. When the three must flee, the poison spreads so far Giyuu has no choice but to cut off his hand. And by the time Urokodaki finds them, Giyuu's barely hanging on. His arm is the next to go.
Now declared missing by the corps, crow injured, there is no way to reveal the truth that he's alive. And his condition is getting worse... Day by day, he gets weaker. Tanjiro's left panicking over the realization that they have to cut off his arm. He starts to slowly, slowly lose himself. Who's going to save him?
Will help ever arrive?
Warning: This fic contains graphic scenes of injury and will be an INTENSE sickfic.

Urokodaki's definitly not helping, staring at us like we might disappear if he looked away for even a second. Or as if he's trying to take mental pictures of our faces to not forget us. I don't know which one stresses me out the most.
When I told you about my stress, you laughed, assuring me there was nothing to worry about. That even if the worst happened, you'd be there to protect me.
That I'm not worried about myself is what you don't understand. I don't think I could stand it if I lost another person.Or, Sabito forced Giyuu to hold a journal and this is the result. After his friend's death, Giyuu continue to write to him through it, relating his life as the new Water Pillar. After Giyuu left the Butterfly Estate without finishing his treatment, Shinobu decided to go and find him at the Water Estate. She doesn't find him there, but she does find that worn out book that kinda seems important...

Giyuu has known for a long time that he was living on stolen time. He was never meant to be alive, he had instead stolen the lives of those who were most important to him. He was a place-holder, a theif. And sometimes he almost wishes he was never born at all.
But even if he knows he's long gone, Giyuu can't help thinking back on a certain peach haired boy, and he can't help but think the voice telling him it's a good thing he's alive must be Sabito.

When Giyuu first met Tanjiro, he was met with a terrified child who just wanted his family to be okay, He had watched- partly stunned- as the child had begged for someone to help his sister, who was matted with blood.
Giyuu would deny this for years to come, but in the moment the only thing he could focus on was how Tanjiro looked just like him.
In which canon changes and lives are saved - all because Giyuu is just a little bit better at making friends. (Ft. a proud pair of Kamado siblings, of course!)
