Summary
The Thranduilion features were there —fine-boned, aristocratic, unmistakable—but they sat strangely on him, as if someone had taken a prince and taught him to live like a weapon, and now the weapon was being asked to smile nicely and call it reintegration.
Years after being stolen and dragged into Dol Guldur, Legolas has clawed his way back to a home that now feels like a foreign land. He doesn’t want a throne; he wants the South Watch, the anonymity of the barracks, and a post where his lethal edge won't make his own people flinch.
But they all remember the child that was lost, and the shadows of the South are long.
(AU but still could fit in the books)

Summary
No! this year was it. It was the dwarves' first Hobbit birthday and he was dead set on executing the best set of gifts anyone this side of Hobbiton had ever seen.
Little did Bilbo know what these gifts would mean to his friends.
Or " Bilbo accidentally proposes to half of the Lonely Mountain."

Summary
Fool of a Took seemed to be the enduring muttered mantra of the Fellowship, at least where Gandalf was concerned. It was entirely possible that the others thought it in their hearts– certainly not his fellow hobbits, but perhaps the Men that were sworn to follow Frodo into fire and flames, the grumbling dwarf, and the strange elf who spoke rarely and blinked even less. Pippin tried not to let it prick his heart: he knew this quest was something far beyond his understanding of the world, knew that truly realizing it would warp his brain in ways that could not be undone, knew that, after all, he was just a simple hobbit who had quite literally stumbled into saving the world. He could quell the pinpricks with those thoughts.
Before Moria, of course. Before knocking the helmet down the well. Before the balrog.
(In which Legolas has a bad time, Pippin has even worse time, and the fellowship finally gets around to talking about the balrog incident, though not before Legolas and Pippin run into trouble in the woods.)

Summary
It was sheer chance when Bilbo thought back on it. What if he’d stayed home? What if someone else had run up the lane before him?
But it was him. It was him and it was Kíli, and Bilbo wouldn’t change it for the world.
*
Long ago, a dwarf child was lost and found in a storm by Bilbo Baggins. He has no idea where his young ward came from; all attempts to find Kíli's family failed. Sticking together, they make do and it's a peaceful life.
Until Gandalf arrives with talk of adventure. Until the Company of Thorin Oakenshield arrives on their doostep.
Or: Kíli's a missing prince. Bilbo's not about to let his (son) ward face a dragon without him.
