Summary
For a moment, he did not notice the shape beginning to shuffle up beside him. He gave a side-eyed glance at the less than obvious approach, before turning fully to meet the ruby eyes of their resident vampire - Gale.
It came as a surprise to everyone when the human reluctantly revealed his identity, even to Astarion, but the surprise only comes when you’re fed certain expectations for what a monster would look like. An undead, haunting creature like a vampire - you wouldn’t expect the tanned skin, the furred chest or friendly attitude of Gale Dekarios. Even his eyes gleamed in a way that made him seem full of life, even if they were a bloody red. If he really thought about it, Astarion aligned more with how a vampire would appear - with his perfectly coiffed locks and ghostly pale complexion.
