Old Title: Trolls Headcanons and fanfic ideas (Potential Ficlets)
Just casually putting all my headcanons right now out in the open. Basically, just trying to give everything in the movies a rhyme and reason, as well as a potential timeline to make it make sense to me. Because I don’t have a canonical timeline or ages. Also because I wanna explore relationship dynamics and history later on. Maybe some different stuff too.
Most headcanons are based on the movies only, I have yet to get into both cartoon series. I will soon..
Might make ficlets later. I hope you enjoy my yapping sessions. I just love to brain rot over these little guys.

Summary
Four brothers are left on the steps of a children's home in the middle of the night. One by one each of the brothers are adopted apart for the oldest. JD is left alone and totally bereft. A kind foster family take him on to try and improve his 'condition'. Despite their best efforts his depression persists. A few years later the Applesons take on another troubled grey child.
The pair soon discover they share an unspoken understanding of what it is to be grey. They become virtually inseparable.
However when the opportunity comes giving JD a chance to seek out his scattered brothers, will he risk this 'Grey Bond' he has formed with Branch, who may be more than just his 'foster' brother?

"No Troll left behind!" King Peppy hollered down the tunnel as he threw the large ball of trolls out of the way of the shovel breaking through the ground. When the shovel was removed, King Peppy rushed off in the direction of the rest of his people. He was running so fast that he didn't see a divot in the ground. He stumbled over it and almost fell. He popped back up feeling lighter and ran off towards his people.
A small trolling that was just safely nestled in her father's hair was suddenly on the dirty ground. She let out a loud cry.

It's really long, but really good. I had to take a week long break from this once because pretty much, for once in a while, so many characters are struggling at once rather than just one at a time. And it can be a lot. But it hurts so good.
