Katsuki wonders if, even while sleeping, Izuku’s eyes and mind are still far, far away on that Deku Galaxy of his.
“Mhm? Did you say something, Kacchan?” Izuku asks him only after his fourth attempt at calling him. He’s coming down from whatever nebula that was holding him prisoner seconds ago, so his eyes are not looking at him yet. He still has a little stain of chocolate near his mouth from that first sip he took of his beverage half an hour ago.
Katsuki wants to lick it so badly. But he can’t.
Not yet.
“Are you still on the Moon, Space Cadet?” He mocks him, punching him lightly on the shoulder. “I hate repeating shit, Izuku, so you better pay attention this time. These fucking forms are not gonna fill in themselves, and I want to go home early for once.”

Izuku has always been a Space Cadet. Compared to him (small, always-the-same-Katsuki), the universe is very big and full of wonders.

“It’s Takashi,” Shiro corrects his butchered pronunciation with a laugh, “and I’m twenty-one.”
“A twenty-one-year-old cop? That’s pretty hot.”
He doesn’t mean to be so candid, but everything’s just flowing out now. The floodgates are nowhere to be found.
“You’re not bad yourself; what was it, eighteen year old alcoholic?”
“Funny,” Lance sticks his tongue out.

Summary
After Shiro met Lance, he swore he’d never surf again.
Now, there’s more to the story than simple rejection. In fact, it’s not even because he almost drowned the first time he gave it a go.
One minute, Shiro was trying to stand on his board during a particularly high wave. The next, he was lost amongst the saltwater, eyes tearing with terror as the ocean devoured him and rendered his world black.
He probably should have learned to swim properly first.
