Summary
Verity is a planetary explorer who is torn between her home on Earth and the wonders of the Euclid Galaxy. Sure, the isolation can be a downer, and she'd rather not be chased by a floating red orb, but something draws her to this galaxy besides its stunning landscapes. After she and a wounded Vy'keen crash land on a hostile planet, their journeys will never be the same. What are they really seeking in Euclid's skies, and can they help each other find it?
Since we now know after Next and other updates that Earth does not exist in No Man's Sky's universe, this is an AU.

This story is dedicated to all the wonderful people in my life who have been with me during this dark season, and inspired by HermesSerpent, whose heartwarming story convinced me I should try writing an SCP-049 story of my own.
