He wanted desperately to go home and hug Papi. He wanted to make his world-renowned tacos and enjoy a real meal that didn’t just taste of greasy sauces or Styrofoam. He wanted to see Alphys again and show her how much he had improved and beg to finally be accepted into the royal guard.
But he knew he couldn’t.
If he went back there as he was now, Dream would immediately pick up on his distinctive brand of positivity. He always did when Blue tried to sneak away for a couple of days after a fight with Ink. And then he would be dragged back and the cycle would continue.
But maybe…
Well, maybe, if the King of Negativity was just as cruel to his henchmen as Ink and Dream always said, there was a way for Blue to ruin himself enough that there would be no positivity left in him for Dream to track. And then, finally, he could go back to his AU.
Mind set on that half-arsed plan, he met Error’s eyes once more, this time with true determination shining through his faint eye lights, and said: “I want to go to Nightmare”.

Summary
Everyone around Ink changes and matures and slowly finds happiness, while Ink is just doing the same things he always does. Jumping around and convincing and begging Creators to finish their stories. Appearing to check every call of distress in Multiverse and repairing Aus that are starting to malfunction thanks to old age.
(His days still include fighting and talking and he pretends that he isn't standing outside of the flow of the time while others go with it)
There's still never enough time, maybe even less, now, that he doesn't want to bother Dream when those fights don't have anything to do with the reason he did everything.
Everyone seems content... and Ink is still Ink.

This wasn't how it was suppose to go. Dream felt that he has done everything to get through to Nightmare, but to no avail. But to resort to this? He didn't think things could have gone so south so fast. He just wanted his precious brother back. Was that too much to ask for?

His brother sneered at him. On the other side of the room, another Nightmare glared at him.
There were two Nightmares now.

Summary
Nightmare's life is great. He's one of the most powerful threats in the multiverse, despite the Star Sanses' (often failed) attempts to stop him. He destroys AU's on a weekly basis, feeding on their negative energy. And when he's not out causing chaos, he's at home either taking care of paperwork or taking care of his four boys. Nightmare has everything. A home. A purpose. A family.
He should be happy.
But he's not.
He can't be. At least, not until his brother pays for what he did to Nightmare all those centuries ago. The only thing standing in the way of his revenge is Dream’s positive magic. Thanks to some help from a potion Sci made, Nightmare can finally fix that pesky little problem.
Unfortunately, that problem isn’t the only thing that’s little now.

Summary
A great source of despair draws Nightmare to an abandoned AU. There he finds an unfinished Sans with no name, no companions, no purpose, no world, and a soul. Nightmare gives him the option to get out of his abandoned, empty world. He accepts the offer but refuses to destroy anything or hurt people. Instead he finds another purpose. In return the Bad Sanses give him a home, companions, a life, and a name. They call him Ink.
Or: Before he can destroy his soul and enter the Doodle Sphere, Ink is recruited by Nightmare. He accepts his role as best he can, even if he sometimes feels like he is meant for something more.

It started with one moody skeleton crash-landing in your home. Then he started bringing friends. All of a sudden your apartment is a multidimensional nexus for an awful lot of monsters named 'Sans.'
