“I got the elvish at my collar translated,” Blackheart answered with a smile, “Shadowheart told me it means Starlight.”
Astarion opened his mouth, but then he turned to Shadowheart. Who looked away at that, “I take it that she did not actually read it to you then?”
“No,” Blackheart frowned, “Is it not just what it means?”
“Elvish is a language,” Astarion spoke slowly as if speaking to a dumb child. Blackheart couldn’t take offense at that, “Those symbols make up a word.”
“Oh,” Blackheart frowned, and then he squinted at Astarion, “Um - Isn’t Starlight a word?”
“Good gods above, you’re a dimwit,” Astarion hissed before storming away.
Blackheart turned to Shadowheart, to Gale, “What did I say?”
“It reads Astarion,” Gale whispered, “It’s his name.”
Well, That didn’t make any sense.
