The staggering amount of robust, high-level pokemon was not the only challenge to be conquered in Cerulean cave, much to the starters’ dismay. It’s geography – with tunnels that mocked perspective, deciding on a whim whether to result on a dead end or the entrance of another maze, alongside a source-less glow that would dull in the most inconvenient of times – the journey was becoming not just complicated, but also increasingly infuriating.
So, after a few hours of running with circles, when Bulbasaur was no longer able to carry Charmander around, they settle on a safe enough, secluded spot and take a small break.
This could only end well.

It's back to Lumiose with the PokéVision Competition in full swing! Bonnie is keeping an eye on Clemont as the group helps Serena with the final touches, but the events of Prism Tower (among other things) haunts both of them in equal measures.
