His younger brother has started to go to pot, but when Belphegor and Mammon pull him aside he realizes the situation- and Beelzabub himself- is a bit more complicated than he initially thought.

The words rang around Laios’ head as he bussed tables and refilled sodas.
On the surface, sure, Laios knew he’d been eating more often lately. He’d noticed some of his clothing fit more snugly these days. But beyond that, he hadn’t noticed any real consequences to his increased snacking and late-night binging.
Now, Chilchuck’s comment lingering at the forefront of his memory, Laios seemed to realize for the first time just how much his body had changed.
