"I can help you, you know?", Shane says although he's already sitting on one of the highchairs.
"Ah no, you will do nothing. I want to make disgusting smoothie for you to enjoy on the morning of our wedding day. You just sit and look pretty," Ilya counters seriously as he starts cutting up some kale. Usually Shane would quip something back, but he feels a grin form on his face at the reminder that today was, in fact, his wedding day. So instead he just says: "I love you."
Ilya looks up at him with a smile. "I love you, too," before going back to slicing greens.
Shane puts an elbow on the surface of the isle and rests his chin in his hand as he watches his fiance prepare his favorite smoothie, a fond smile never leaving his face.
"We're getting married in a few hours," he says in awe.
"Yes, I know. That is what 'wedding day' means, no?", Ilya retorts and Shane huffs a laugh. "Shut up," he says half heartedly and Ilya responds with a grin.

“Hey, O. Uh, I’m currently up a little higher than I’m used to.”“Don’t tell me you're in the watchtower.”
“Fine, I won’t tell you.” Jason jokes back. He rolls his shoulders and takes in the room, using an x-ray lens. Through the window are three shapes. Based on their sizes, Jason is assuming it’s Superman, Hal or Oliver, and Cyborg.
“Cyborg is one of the leaguers on the other side of the window. I was sure that Wingding told him about me. Why are they still holding me up here?” Jason pulls on the restraints, testing them again. They are definitely meta-dampeners, not that that means much for him. They are a bitch for lock picks though.
Barbara hums on the other end of the comms, “Training exercise.”
Jason groans, “For who? The league or me?”
“Yes.” Oracle replies. Jason groans.

He said he’s going to get her. He gave me his phone and told me to hide. He’ll find her, then find me, then bring us to you—”
A loud rattle sounded. Megumi fell dead silent, and Suguru’s heart dropped.
“Megumi,” he whispered. “Where are you?”
