Sokka forgot one there. And no, it's not just another melee weapons like the spear or something.
Basically I looked at the Yuyan Archers and Longshot, and thought, "Hey, the Gaang doesn't have an archer. Time to fix that by projecting a way cooler version of myself onto an OC and throwing him into the Gaang."
I know I didn't actually add another element to Avatar, but I'm bad at naming things. If you've got a better title, please comment it. I'll paste this into a new fic and give you credit.

Luz makes a surprised chirping noise in the back of her throat and pauses her scribbling to gently touch the inside of Amity’s elbow. 'Sorry if I startled you,' it says, and then she’s back hurriedly scratching on her own paper, tongue sticking out slightly.
It’s the first of their shared gestures that act as a stand in for absent communication, though neither of them note its significance at the time.
Amity huffs in amusement and angles her notebook so it’s easier for the other girl to read.
