“You found anythin’ useful yet?” Called Dutch from further into the facility, having shushed whatever argument had been going on.
“Not really!” Arthur shouted back, only barely managing to avoid stepping into the entrails of another dead O’Driscoll. Jesus, they were everywhere. “Anythin’ specific you want me to find?”
“Explosives, detonators, whatever’ll help us to rob that train. Hurry up now! Try that shed to the left!”
Arthur mumbled a gruff ‘yeah, yeah’ while Dutch barked orders to the rest of the boys. Dutch was probably just as cold and tired as Arthur. He made his way over to the shed with leaden legs ploughing through the snow. It felt like it had been forever since he last felt his toes. He pushed open the creaky door to the shed, stepped inside, and immediately found himself at the end of a rifle barrel with a rather young looking man at the start of it.

Summary
John Marston is ambushed by the Pinkertons and dies in 1911 after hunting down all his old gang members, not getting to finish the happy life with his family. Why then does he wake up in 1899 on Colter with Javier and Arthur rescuing him?
It seems fate, or a more malevolent force, has given John a second chance and now he has to live among his familial ghosts as he figures out how he can fix it this time. But, people are getting concerned by his new behaviour- what's there to expect from a 39 year mind in a 26 year old body? Or more importantly, what's there to expect from a hardened man forced to live next to everybody who betrayed him?
THIS IS JUST MY EXCUSE TO WRITE RDR 1 JOHN MARSTON, THE LOML. I wish the Van der Linde gang could have seen what a fucking force of nature he became- both as a mature man but also the fastest gunslinger in the west. Took down the rebellion in Mexico and all of Micah's gang in the mountains without batting an eye: he deserves MORE CREDIT.
I'm not sure where I'm going to go with this because it's been a while since I've played either game but I hate mischaracterising Marston. If anybody has any advice, let me know.

Summary
Arthur knows he's dying, can feel the unstoppable pull of it, feels the spirit appear behind him to take him along. And yet, he finds he does not want to die. There is so much that went wrong, so much he regrets and he wishes, with all his being, he could change it. Could at least ensure those that managed to get away really make it out alive.
A second chance, he asks, begs, really. Just give me the chance to save them.
The being behind him pauses and Arthur can't look away from the moment he's frozen in, staring at the dark mountainside, aching to see the sun rise just one more time.
One chance, the spirit seems to whisper, voice satin soft. Make the most of it.
