Summary
A hand combs through Blade’s hair, separating the strands as they gingerly fall on the other person’s lap. Blade begins to regain his consciousness to the smell of jasmine and champagne.
It was silly to attempt to relish such a meaningless moment, as he often found himself wondering if pursuing anything outside of the script was ever worth it. Everything had a grayish tone. Everything except for Kafka, who stood up and walked over to the center of the room like a beacon of color. “Oh, this is good,” she snickered. Kafka looked up from her file with a second one in hand, “Elio’s next script” she said as she handed it to him. Blade read through the pages briefly, registering the tasks he needed to fulfill in the next mission. As he reached the bottom of the page, he stopped mid sentence and went back several words in order to make sure he had read them correctly;
‘Kafka smiles up at Blade and whispers in his ear, “Promise me, forget everything about tonight” as their dinner date comes to an end’
(Or Elio sets them up on a fake date hoping it becomes a not-so-fake date by sending them on a spiraling adventure)
