Summary
At some point in Jamie’s life, he is going to have to admit that he doesn’t know what the word traumatizing means. Sure, he could look it up in a dictionary or whatever, but a dry definition from some dead prick isn’t going to explain where the boundary lies between something normal that just felt bad and something that traumatized him, something that shouldn’t have happened at all—if the world was nice and fair.
Really, he’d prefer not to have to figure it out. He’d prefer to just focus on footie and his team and the weird, intense, wonderful thing that might be happening with Roy, and he’d be allowed to have that—if the world was nice and fair.

Summary
Roy rolled his eyes, "Oh, it's not that big a deal, Jamie! Look, if you're going to be such a pussy about it maybe I'll try it out on Sam first, let you see how it's—"
"No!" Jamie yelped. He glanced out into the locker room. Poor Sam was a kid. "No, I'll do it. Don't rope anyone else in." He bit his lip. Ground out the last word. "Please."
Or: Roy thinks they're talking about a harmless prank. Jamie thinks that Roy found evidence from years ago, when a coach took advantage of him. And now Jamie's pretty sure it's happening again.

Summary
So there’s this new guy at Richmond, Julio, and Jamie doesn’t like him.
He doesn’t know why, and he’s annoyed with himself for not being able to put his finger on it.
—
After spending the break in Marbella with Roy, Jamie’s closer to everyone at Richmond than ever — and especially to Roy and Keeley. Something might be happening there, and he doesn’t want anything to mess that up. But when Julio Rodríguez joins Richmond from Fortaleza during the summer transfer window, the rest of the team loves him, and Jamie finds that he just can’t feel the same. Maybe he just resents the fact that they all take to Julio instantly. The first time he’d come to Richmond, he’d had too many walls up to let people in properly, and the second time, he’d had to work so hard to get everyone to want him around. But Julio seems to really like Jamie, so Jamie is going to overcompensate to make up for it, to be the best teammate he can be to make sure any jealousy doesn’t show.
This, it turns out, is a mistake.

Jamie Tartt were the best fucking striker in the fucking league. Everyone knew he were the best, and everyone knew he had to be a sado dom, because sado doms made the best fucking strikers, didn't they?
It were all the aggression they brought to the pitch.
But Jamie Tartt had a fucking secret.
Or at least, he did have a fucking secret, until his loan to Richmond AFC.
He'd done so good- no one'd fucking guessed he was a sub in academy or at Man City. He'd done everything, to keep that secret a fucking secret.
He'd done so good, until Roy fucking Kent figured it out.
