Truthfully, Lila had something Chloé never had, and that was people’s ears and affections.
“You can preen in your spotlight for now Lila, but give it time. You’ll slip up and they’ll notice."
“Maybe,” she mused, in a hushed tone, “But if I were to guess? By that time it’ll be too late. Either for them, or for you,” she retreated slightly, now standing face to face with her opponent.Or; Marinette is fed up of Lila, who's on the verge of stealing everything she has. Immediately after the events of "Oblivio," discussion is brewing over the photo of Ladybug and Chat Noir kissing, with Alya excitedly soaking it all in. However, not all opinions are positive, and once Marinette takes Ladybug's side in the debate, the class ends up dividing itself on the matter completely.
Questions are asked, seats are changed, and Marinette gets an idea of her own: if no one else will step up for Ladybug, she will, and she'll make a blog herself in order to do so.
As friends come and go, a crush is crushed, new heroes are considered, and Marinette is able to clear her mind to focus on the more important things in her life.

Strange things have always happened around Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

(An AU in which Marinette decided to go to New York with Audrey Bourgeois. In this AU Marinette and her classmates were in the age range of 16/17 during Style Queen, and instead Style Queen happens right after Marinette gets expelled because of Lila. Making her decision to leave Paris easier. Also in this fic Audrey is BAMF, a HBIC. Marinette needs a good feminine role model to look up too and I rewrote Audrey to change her attitude after Style Queen. Also in this AU Hawkmoth/Gabriel sticks with his plan to retire)
