Summary
Eddie stood before an open cupboard. He had a big cardboard box on the counter beside him. As Buck stood there, feeling as though he’d been turned to stone, Eddie put a stack of plates into the box. A stack of identical cardboard boxes sat by the kitchen table.
Buck looked across all of it, his heart lurching painfully in his chest, and managed to ask, “What are - Eddie, what are you doing?”
OR: Eddie's decided to change his living arrangements; Buck takes it poorly.

Ravi follows Buck’s line of sight and jerks his head in Hen and Karen’s direction. “You ever wish you had that?”
“Had what?” Buck asks. “A wife?”
“Yeah, I guess. Or,” Ravi shrugs, twisting the shock blanket he’s supposed to be wrapped in between his hands. “Just someone to go home to.”
Buck rubs at his sternum as a sudden sharp pain shoots through it. “Yeah."

“Stay with me,” Buck blurts out the second Eddie’s eyes meet his. “We’ll pick up Chris after my shift ends in a couple hours, and you guys can—you can stay with me. Don’t get a hotel.”
“Buck,” Eddie says, a searching look in his eyes. “You don’t have to do that. This is—this isn’t your mess to deal with, I can figure it out.”
“I know I don’t have to,” Buck argues. “I want to.”

The sting of Christopher’s icon being 800 miles away in El Paso nearly takes his breath away. He can’t let himself look at it for too long. It looks like Maddie’s at work, and when he zooms in on Eddie—no that can’t be right.
