Summary
Clark stares at the screen, refusing to think about how many times it must have been searched to appear there. Why, his inner self screams, does everyone want to know whether Superman sleeps with alphas?
But now that he notices the word "only" lodged between his name and "sleep," a detail he somehow missed at first, the suggestion suddenly feels wrong. If someone who does not know Superman is attracted to the same secondary gender wants to dig deeper, they are far more likely to begin with "Does Superman also sleep with alpha?" rather than "Does Superman only fuck alphas."

He runs through the plan one last time in his head: greet Clark casually; loosen him up with a hug—a final hug for a man on death row; then, guide him towards the two-seater sofa and—
“What,” Lex blurts, his voice cracking, “the fuck are you wearing?”
After a genuine, surprised “Oh” at hearing the unexpected growl instead of a warm greeting, Clark gives him a sheepish grin. “The Superman costume, I think?”

Prequel to ODE TO A FARMBOY
Alexander "Lex" Luthor grew up behind bars of a gilded cage, and never really left its confines. After the death of his father, Lex inherits the majority of the Luthor Estate, and begins many different business ventures, one of which happens to be Luthor Corp Media. While running LCM with an iron fist, Lex finds himself challenged by a broad-chested, young man from Kansas who doesn't seem intimidated by his wealth or power. From that moment on, Lex finds himself obsessed with this goodie-two-shoes from the sticks, and decides that he must have him.
And if he can't have Clark Kent, then no one will.

Summary
Lex has run his mouth about Superman's hidden evil motives one too many times, and he's now been put on a probation period with the following terms: improve his public image - which is now starting to tank LuthorCorp's as well - in the next 12 months, or he'll be fired as LuthorCorp's CEO. After much rage and a couple tantrums, he eventually devises a plan. He will recruit his executive assistant, Clark Kent, as his fake partner in a PR relationship, to distract the media from his Superman-related ramblings. It's completely foolproof, and he's certain it will be a success (as his plans usually are).
One lie (his secret superhero alter ego, Superman) is fine for Clark to keep up with. Two lies (being Lex Luthor's fake partner) gets tricky. Three lies (hiding the fact that he is Superman from Lex, his fake partner)? Clark is completely over his head.
