“Your first kiss usually isn’t anything special.” Something in his chest tightens, mostly because the idea of Princess Zelda herself whining for a kiss is proving to be far too stimulating a notion. “It’s really just something to get over with. Really, no one’s first kiss is a good one.”
“Oh.” Zelda goes quiet, curiosity muted and replaced with a scintillating silence that promises something more. Link lowers his guard down, and his shoulders have only just settled a smidge before her soft request has tension knotting in them once again.
“So,” she drones, fingers mindlessly clamping around the stray scorpion grass along her thighs, “if it isn’t anything special…might you be willing to kiss me, then?”

Summary
He was in the middle of collecting wood when he heard noise behind him. At first, Kratos paid it little mind. It was most likely Freya or one of their other allies who all had access to the stave. In his semi-retirement, he had admittedly let his guard drop a little as danger had been rare in recent weeks. This didn’t mean he didn’t pay attention to his surroundings. When his visitor said nothing, Kratos gripped the axe handle tightly.
“I was not expecting you until midday, Freya,” he called out, not turning around.
“...Guess again, Father.”

Years after Ragnarok, the Realms began to heal. Kratos awaits the return of one he cares for most, but does not expect who else comes home with him.

But Angrhboda was a kid. She had a kid's hands that trembled when she used the flint to light the fire. She had a kid's voice that wouldn't carry the song the way her mother's did. She was the one of last remnants of a great nation, but she wasn't that great herself.

“It's the truth,” she gave him a small chuckle. “You know I'd never lie to you.”
“Oh, really?” Angrboda moved her head from his shoulder so she could look Atreus in the eyes. He shrugged at the absence of her touch. “Why should I believe in the words of a trickster?”
“I am no trickster!” Atreus exclaimed and raised his chin, making Angrboda giggle.
