Summary
Wild's memories rather resemble absence seizures from an outsider's point of view. It's an easy mistake- and it's one that Warriors makes.
Wild comes out of a memory to find Warriors in his face, and proceeds to be very confused for a while- until the realization hits.

When he comes to, he’s kneeling atop the Calamity’s head, with the Master Sword still embedded into its skull as it twitches and smokes on the ground. The golden rays are gone, replaced only by dark, stinking mist and dust drifting through the air.
The Calamity is still alive.
It must remain sealed.
He cannot let go of the Master Sword.

Deep within the wet, tangling forests of Faron, a group of eight–soon to be nine–heeds her call.
Link is trapped within Hyrule Castle, keeping the Calamity sealed by the skin of his teeth as he casts his soul across the province in search of someone, anyone who can help.
The Chain lands in a new Hyrule and finds themselves chasing behind the ghosts of a missing hero's footsteps--all the while there’s a strange, blond-haired boy following them, who never speaks, and who always seems to turn his face in the direction of the empty ruins of Hyrule Castle.

Oh.Another gang-meets-Wild fic (because I'm ✨original✨ and Wild is my favorite), except all the ones I read made me sad so I did my best to make this one happy(er). I'm not sure if I like Wild because his games are the only Zelda games I've played or if it's because I want his hair.
This is rapidly turning into a fic spanning my theory for the future plot of Linked Universe. It's gonna be a whole thing. Buckle up.

“Don’t torture yourself, Twilight,” Warriors says before he could spit out any of it, his fury fading as he sees Warriors’s hand shake from where it hovers over Wild’s now closed eyes. “It’s hard enough as it is.”
Twilight swallows thickly and refuses to shift his gaze to where Warriors’s own does, just a little below Wild’s stomach. Instead, he pulls his protege closer and ignores the way Wild’s head lolls lifelessly on the crook of his arm.
((Or the one where a hunt goes wrong, it gets worse, the ends in the worst way possible, and all that Twilight has left is the hope that he had misunderstood the meaning of his protege's words when he had said his champion friends had taken their gifts with them once they said goodbye for good.))
