It is alluded to in episode 2 of Mice and Murder that Squire Badger manipulated the Cardinal into sending Vicar Ian Prescott on a mission trip to Siberia, to get him away from Tufting Meadows and prevent him from publishing opinion pieces condemning his mills and practices as ungodly and immoral. I couldn't help but imagine what that conversation might have sounded like, and while I haven't finished the season yet (I'm sorry, I'm slow with media), it seems unlikely Brennan plays out this conversation between two NPCs. So I wrote it myself. The voice for Squire Brockhollow is certainly not the same as Brennan's, and while I could go back and try to get his word choice and intonation exactly right based on what's presented in the show, I almost certainly won't because this is a very short little fic of a very short little convo of very minimal importance.
