    Wolfie snarled but Warriors flicked out a hand, commanding him to be still. Wind was still trembling in Warriors arms; they couldn’t fight and protect him at the same time. Wolfie still clawed at the ground, no doubt terrified of the idea of being held in captivity like some animal. These weren’t just bandits, Warriors realised, they were slavers. The lowest of filth from Warriors world and apparently other worlds too.

    The slaver behind him, the leader Warriors guessed, laughed and the sound rung deep in Warriors’ head. They would have to be careful with this; one wrong move and Wind could be killed but they couldn’t just surrender either. They didn’t know if the rest of the Chain were even in this world alongside them let alone would find them in time and while Warriors could easily take on this many people by himself, he couldn’t do that while also protecting Wind.
