There are many, like those who man the 01 Osteclara, who dedicate their lives to the search, and yet generation after generation their searches bear no fruit. Sapient life has not been found in a long, long time, and as time stretches on, hope for finding new Life dwindles.Captain Diia'ti of the 01 Osteclara crash lands on an untouched planet, stranded and separated from his crew. Stuck on a vengeful, uninhabited planet, there is little else he can do but try to find shelter.
He finds instead what he had dedicated his life to searching for.Kai Yamagata moved into the forest to get away from people, not to be stalked by aliens. You can imagine his frustration.

Summary
Life has never been safe for a Borrower in a world governed by humans. Summary
Maverick had a run-in with a Giant only a few months ago while in a Giant city for a business trip. He was about to die, or worse, but that wasn’t that bad. What was really traumatizing was watching that giant get pinned to the ground, their face shoved into the concrete of the dark alley, nose audibly cracking as it’s broken by a familiar, usually friendly, face.
