"Dance with me?" The words ghosted against the shell of his ear, warm breath carrying the scent of expensive Whitestone whiskey. Vax turned to find Percy extending a gloved hand, sapphire eyes gleaming behind wire-rimmed spectacles.
"I'm very drunk, de Rolo," Vax replied, his lips curving into a lopsided smile that revealed a rarely-seen dimple. "Might massacre those fancy noble toes of yours."
Percy's lips quirked into that soft, aristocratic smile that never quite reached his eyes. "I'll take my chances. If Scanlan managed to get Pike to marry him after years of terrible flirtation, I'm sure you can make it through one dance."
Weddings are incredibly romantic. Maybe that's why they finally get their shit together.
