Summary
Draco stares into the black water as he walks down the rotting dock. The trees surround him, towering over the lake and bathing it in shadows. Fog rolls over the surface of the water, shrouding its secrets. There's a chill in the air as Draco reaches the end of the wood. There's a silence, only filled by the buzzing of insects and the whispering of wind. Draco comes here to escape, and this time is no different. It's cold, solemn, and quiet. Most importantly, it's empty, and Draco is alone.
Until the snapping of a twig causes him to turn on his heel, and look back to the forest he came from. In the distance, he sees a figure with dark hair and green eyes that reflect the moonlight. Scarred skin sprawls across his face like a bolt of lightning.
Right before he can open his mouth to curse Potter for following him a hand reaches up from the dock, settling around his ankle, and tugging him swiftly into the deep, frigid water.
