The red string of fate is a tale as old as time, and it isn't that Sam doesn't believe in it. She absolutely, wholeheartedly does. In fact, she probably believes in it more than a well-adjusted adult should.
Andrea knows a soulmate is someone sacred. They're someone permanent and valuable and hers. It's not something she'll readily admit out loud, but the prospect of having someone out there made for her is addicting. It's the only thing she clings to when everything feels overwhelming and impossible. She thinks about it quite often, actually, but if anyone asks, she'll deny it.
OR
Sam and Andrea despise each other, but when they meet in person for the first time, they realize the red string of fate has them connected. Chaos ensues.

The problem is that every time Lena sees Kara--her sparkly eyes and easy smile and the way her whole face lights up the moment Lena enters a room--she mostly wants to forgive her, more than anything she just wants to be close to her. She wants her friend back, wants to be normal again, wants to pretend this whole thing never even happened and she never found out Kara's Supergirl.
She wants to go back to being in love with her, wants to actually get a chance to tell Kara that she's in love with her, but she can't. She can't do any of that.
OR, the one where Lena cries a lot, loses Kara, gets her back, and starts learning how to be okay again. Especially that last bit. ♥

Summary
Executive Chef Lexa "The Commander" Woods is working in her latest establishment in her home town of Portland, Maine. She is about to start conceptualizing her next restaurant and only has one rule for herself during the process: No more girls. When an accident at the restaurant lands her in Dr. Clarke Griffin's ER, she second guesses why she ever had that rule in the first place. Lexa's head bartender, Lincoln, is obsessed with a divey restaurant on the other side of town run by Octavia. It doesn't take long for the small town to get even smaller when Lexa starts running into Clarke everywhere. Maybe rules were meant to be broken.

Ameliorate, by definition, means to make something better. So I guess the question is whether or not all the of the challenges and changes that Lexa and Clarke are going to be faced with will ultimately ameliorate them or not.

Lexa's life is a bit of an awkward mess. Someone keeps stealing the gym around the corner from her apartment building while she's busy at the *actual* gym and ruining all her hard work. Clarke's life isn't much better. She still can't work up the guts to talk to the hot chick she sees every morning on the elevator. When they finally realize they've been after the same gym, it might just be a rivalry for the ages... or something better.
