“I am so sorry, Shane,” he kept muttering under his breath as he consumed more and more of the venomous clear liquid. “So sorry, moya lyubov.”
He kept going. He had no idea what time it was when he opened the second bottle, or when he reached for the first box of pills. All he could see, in his hazy state, was his mama, who was holding her arms out for him, calling of him, telling him to come closer. To be brave and come to her.
He did as she asked.
He thought about her as he crinkled the first packet of pills, popping all seven from one strip into his hand. He wondered what was going through her head as she poured the small pills from the bottle he found next to her into her dainty hands. He wondered if she thought of him, like he thought of her.
“Be with you soon, mama,” Ilya breathed, as he swallowed the pills down with a mouthful of vodka. “Me and you together again.”
OR, where ilya is depressed and he wants to feel his mother's comfort again. shane has no idea, but he'll do anything to be with ilya, to make him better. he'll drive all night. he would call ilya's mom.

They probably aren't meant to see each other beyond that one random night, but then again, they probably aren't meant to see each other at all.

He hadn't had dinner. He only had a banana for breakfast. Did bananas make you fat? Maybe it was still too much. People- People don't date chubby guys...and if Grian was being honest with himself. Really honest with himself. He liked Scar too.
Grian stared at the flesh of his stomach, narrowing his eyes as he calculated the best course of action. People don't date chubby guys. People don't date pigs. They don't like pigs. He couldn't mess this up like he did with Calvin. Fool me once and all of that.
Expelling a sigh, Grian reached into his pocket for his phone and opened up Google and searched up how long a person could go without food for.

Etho's getting the hang of knitting enough that Bdubs finally feels safe to knit too, while he sits beside him ready to help if needed. He only brings idiot-proof stuff to work, anyway, since he's always getting interrupted.
"Excuse me?" Bdubs asks. He aims for teasing, but it comes out a little too raw for that. She must be joking, but god, shouldn't Cleo know better as his best friend?
"Not like that—" they say quickly. "I know you're aromantic and stuff, I mean. Just, like, that you like him a lot, right? You've got a friend-crush.".

As if he recognised Impulse’s apprehension, Skizz reduced his wide grin to a friendly smile. “I saw you when I walked in and thought all your piercings were super sick. And I didn’t know anyone, so I figured I may as well talk to someone new,” His wings shuddered slightly. “I hope that’s okay with you?”
Impulse was shocked at how friendly Skizz was. In the three years he had been at this high school and the many years of knowing some of the other students from grade school, no one had ever paid this much attention to him. “Oh, that’s nice of you to say, and yeah sure it’s fine,” he responded, hoping his pause wasn’t too noticeable.
“Okay, that’s great! See you around, homie!” Skizz chirped before picking up his bag and walking out of class, leaving Impulse there to contemplate what just happened to him.

The Dead Poets deal with the aftermath of Neil’s attempt, as Cameron and the administration blame Keating. Meanwhile, Knox is on the rebound, Charlie is pining, Neil and Todd are being oblivious and everyone’s favourite nerds are trying to get both couples together.
This fic mainly centres on Anderperry and Knarlie but I won’t forget the other poets! McKeating and Chris x Ginny are briefly mentioned too!
Frequent strong language is used, and there are mentions of suicide/self harm but I’ll try to make these parts skippable. It’s no worse than what you saw in the movie anyway<3

Todd groaned in defeat. “Fine, I suppose I can survive the rest of the night with your awful walrus voice.”
“You can and you will,” Neil said with finality.
They stopped talking and let the music wash over them, both joining in when they knew the words, neither of them being even vaguely in tune, but choosing to enjoy themselves anyways. Neil stood up on top of his bed and began to dance, kicking his legs wildly and spinning around, his head nearly hitting the ceiling. He jumped up and down on the bed, completely forgetting that the springs might break, lifting a fake microphone to his mouth and yelling out the words. Todd looked up at him in amazement. He looked half between amusement and awe, but a few seconds later, he too had jumped up on his bed and was dancing with Neil, yelling loudly as he could.
