Jayce and Viktor are laying on the couch in their shared apartment, sprawled over one another in a way that would seem incredibly uncomfortable to any onlooker. But Jayce needs the contact like he needs air - he always does when he’s high. The constant feeling of wishing he could melt right into Viktor and become part of him intensifies to the point of all encompassing. He’s sure that in this state he could do it. Life was amazing. Life was perfect, even. He felt rather safe in saying that fact. He has just turned 15, began his studies for the Academy, informed his Clan head who he truly was. Jayce Giopara has a much better ring to it in his opinion. Thank you very much.

Jayce steps back into the other man’s face. He needs to push, this Jayce needs to understand.
“I do know. I know right now you’re too scared to admit that yes, after all these years being side by side in the lab, watching him day in and day out working himself into the ground to realize your dream, you are completely head-over-heels in love with him."
The other Jayce takes a shuddering, angry breath.
“So, you push it down. You hide it away and spend your time sucking up to rich investors and the other councilors, trying to win favor and gain attention so you don’t have to think about how much losing Viktor is going to destroy you.”
