He hears a zipper sliding, and the soft padding of footsteps beside him, just before a small pad of paper is dropped onto the desk. “What’s this for?” He asks, reaching out to grab it. It’s small enough to fit in his palm. Most of the pages are flipped back. A pencil is tucked into the top, where the spirals of metal hold it together. “I figured you could use it to take notes.” Jay pulls the pencil out and sets it on the desk, then flips through the used pages. It seems to be filled with sketches of nature scenes, most of them Jay recognizes as somewhere in or around Rosswood park. They’re clearly very rough outlines, but they’re still incredibly realistic. It’s…Actually kind of impressive.
