When his sister succumbed to the black tide, Anaxagoras failed to grasp how juxtaposed a soul was to a mere eye.
Perhaps it was an attempt to fool himself—trying to hold onto any belief that his sister may walk the living-realm again.Alas, this ‘belief’ was held temporarily. All Anaxagoras received from that “Fair Exchange” was a chance for him to reunite with her for a moment, and an eventual goodbye.
The passing of his sister also made him lose faith in something else, something ‘bigger’.
