Summary
Zain is awoken in the middle of the night by a stranger in his house bringing three messages:
First, his father is alive, but is being kept as a POW in an American base camp.
Second, his father wants this American to keep Zain safe until he gets his visa to leave the country.
Third, this man has a plan to get his father back.
Initially being resigned to the possibility that his father is most likely dead, Zain isn't sure what to believe or how to trust a stranger named Jason suddenly integrating himself into his life. But if it means there's a chance his father will be returned to him and his family will once again be whole, then he will need to learn how to accept this foul-mouth, assertive, and unexpectedly humane solider who knows more than he is telling, and is making a promise Zain isn't sure he can keep.
