Purpled was Tommy's worst enemy. Not enough for Tubbo's plans to murder the older teen to entice Tommy, but he certainly was looking forward to graduating and never seeing that perfect prince ever again.
Purpled hated Tommy. Or... so Tommy thought.

Izuku burst out laughing, the sound bright and sweet like birdsong. He laughed so hard that Katsuki scowled and punched his arm, which only made him giggle harder as he tumbled back into the grass. Izuku laughed because he was confused too. Marriage, to him, was something meant for grown-ups and kings and queens, for nobles in stiff collars who looked like they’d eaten a bite of moldy bread and were forced to swallow.
He thought marriage was a forever kind of promise, but in his heart, he knew they had already made that vow.

He doesn’t mean to make a big deal of it, honestly, doesn’t mean anything by it at all; but suddenly, looking at him and his soft face and his wide, eager eyes, the abrupt, unexplainable urge to go to him is so strong that his chest burns from the inside out.

The blonde just stared, he was fascinated about this siren.
“Before we part ways, here.” they say, ripping one of their scales off of their tail, a new one grew immediately.
“Oceanus, wha-”
“You’re another one of the people I’ve blessed with my scales, it grants you good luck and protection from danger. I advise you to be delicate, store it somewhere small and safe, do not lose it, and do not let anyone but you touch it.”
Purpled hesitates, but takes it anyway, holding it delicately in his hands.
“Farewell, Purpled. We’ll see each other soon, and maybe, I'll look different.”

“Wha- how…? Tommy, what the hell”, Purpled tried to form a full sentence, with little success. What he had really meant to say was:
"Hey, Toms, new friend, magical being, hi. Could you please explain, just out of curiosity, don’t sweat it, how is this piano working when there’s literal vines sticking its legs to the ground and who knows whatever creatures inside? Oh, fun fact, I tried to play it before and obviously didn’t work so how? And most importantly, are you a monster or something? Because you just played something you only heard once a few hours ago. Please and thank you."-
"Maybe if we play it together it will actually sound this time?”; Purpled tried, hoping it would work.
“Yeah, let's try it! Maybe you should do the left hand and I’ll do the right, let’s see how that goes”, Tommy enthusiastically placed his fingers in the correct position waiting for Purpled to give the signal. The latter nodded after positioning himself and so it began.

They seemed to snap out of their trances at the same time, Purpled holding his knife more tightly and the other boy continuing to speak.

Purpled never really cared much about the gods. As a thief for hire, he had plenty of bigger issues to deal with, and no gods-or anyone else, for that matter-were relevant to his issues other than what they could give him. He took care of himself and couldn't spare anything for anyone else. So, when he accidentally rescues a prince while trying to find treasure for a client of his and is forced to take responsibility for the prince's wellbeing until further notice, he's Really Fucking Pissed.
He's even more pissed when he learns that the prince is a fish out of water, or rather, a man out of his own time. The prince, Tommy, had been trapped by a god for three thousand years, and now it was Purpled's job to show him the world. All while the god that trapped Tommy was still hunting him down. Great.
