The laundromat breathed in circles....
Dryers hummed like a distant tide, washers churned their quiet storms, and fluorescent light fell in a pale, patient wash over everything. Time seemed to loosen its grip here,coins clinked, fabric thudded, minutes slipped by unnoticed.
Taesan stood with his hands in his pockets, dark hair falling neatly against sharp, high cheekbones. There was something composed about him, something restrained, as if he were always holding himself back. His reflection hovered faintly in the glass of the washing machine door, but his eyes were elsewhere,fixed on the man a few steps away.
LeehanPretty was the easy word, but it didn’t do him justice. His hair was tied up in a loose manbun, strands escaping to brush his neck when he moved. He leaned against a washer, watching his laundry spin as though it were the most fascinating thing in the world, completely unaware, until he wasn’t. There was a quiet authority in him, an ease, a dominance that didn’t need to announce itself

„Taesan?“ Leehan repeated, both to make sure he heard correctly and to test the name around his tongue. „I don’t remember seeing him in the Aphrodite cabin when we went in to introduce myself during the tour.“
Jaehyun froze.
Then, he laughed.
A big, childish, high-pitched laugh. Loud enough, Woonhak, one of the actual Hermes children and close friend of Jaehyun, shoved him for it.
„Sorry, sorry! I just…“ Jaehyun wiped a tear from his face. „It’s just…wow. I didn’t expect you to be so…I don’t know. Smooth?“
„What do you mean?“ Leehan asked. „Stop talking in riddles.“
„Hey, if there’s anyone in camp that talks in riddles, it’s him. Taesan.“ Jaehyun took a sip from his drink and handed a second cup to Leehan. „He’s a son of Dionysus, not Aphrodite. Though, let’s be honest, he does have the face for it.“
