Summary
"The elderly woman three rows down stands and hesitates. 'Did you enjoy the film?' She asks, her old voice thin.
It takes Valentin a moment to realise she is speaking to him. He should lie, perhaps, but he doesn’t. 'It was too sad for me.'
She smiles. 'Not many men of your age would come to a movie like this.'
She’s a stranger, someone he will never see again. 'My girlfriend was Ingrid Luna’s biggest fan.'
The old woman’s expression turns sad, sympathetic. 'She is no longer with us?'
Of course, she would assume Valentin’s girlfriend was dead, and not that she and Valentin had simply broken up, or that her tastes in movies had changed. It is the more likely assumption, in this country. 'No.'”

Summary
"Soldiers had always been Quique’s primary clientele. They usually left him with a handful of pesos and, on occasion, a few sores on his prick or his mouth that meant he had to stick to the much less lucrative bartending until things cleared up. From the moment he saw him, though, Quique knew Vincente De Santa wasn’t just a soldier. He was an officer, and Quique wasn’t about to let that opportunity pass him by."

Summary
"Looking at Madeleine’s phone, Claudia watches a clip of her Maker selecting a groupie like he's shopping at some vampiric Whole Foods, make some crude comment about what he plans to do, and then make a cruder dick joke. By the time he whips his sweaty hair at the camera, Claudia feels like she could cringe into another dimension.
'He knows people can see that shit, right?' The question is rhetorical. Everything Lestat does is performative, and the performance is for one person alone.
Madeleine hums, a sound halfway between sympathy and amusement. "Apparently he also knows people can film it.'
'Place your bets. How long until Louis makes a passive-aggressive post about vodka?'

Summary
“You’re different from the others,” says Lestat. “Somehow more, like an oil painting lost among crude sketches.”
Louis makes an effort not to be too flattered; reminds himself that he is being flirted with by a glorified algorithm dressed up in a pretty trick of light. The Duke is a lot of things, but he isn’t alive. Louis suspects that knowing this won’t make it any easier to kill him in the final act.

Movie star Louis agrees to upload his consciousness to a high tech computer program, in efforts to remake the 1935 swashbuckler classic Blood Reverie. But things get all too real when he meets his villainous “co-star”, an AI copy of Golden Hollywood legend Lestat de Lioncourt. You cannot script a hurricane.

Bookmarker's Notes
You need to read this fic if you saw the "Hotel Reverie" episode of Black Mirror. If you didn't, you still need to read this fic. One of my top three favourites in the fandom. Couldn't recommend it more! (Although don't be like me and think Rashid is Real Rashid for an embarrassing number of chapters.)

Summary
“My Maître would simply like the evening’s plans to go ahead without the reveal of a seam,” Armand simpers from his draped position on red velvet. “There’s much to discuss with the visiting provincial nobility he intends to host, as I’m sure you can imagine. Besides, at least the Prince is fairly predictable unlike some of our esteemed society fixtures. Even in these last years in titular exile, he has always been particular in his choice of accessory, has he not?”
And, well.
Louis would be hard pressed to deny that.
“Always has liked himself a blue-eyed blond.”

Summary
Over the course of a chaotic six-hour party, director Louis de Pointe du Lac and actor Lestat de Lioncourt keep crossing paths.
It's not like Louis wants to talk to him but, surrounded by well-intentioned meddlers, friends who seem only interested to ruining his night, and copious amounts of alcohol, Louis starts to question if he will be able to survive the night without doing something genuinely stupid.

Incredible story about a beach holiday as only these characters could do it. Deep, meaningful, poetic. This one should be way more recognised than it is!

Summary
After inheriting a charming estate in the English countryside, the Not-Quite-Marquis de Lioncourt is determined to become an upstanding member of the local society; if only his closest neighbour didn’t live to spite him.
______Regency AU. Or the one where it’s Regency England but almost everyone is somewhat French and they are neighbours.
Lestat acquires a dog named Princess, Lady de Lioncourt is set on finding her son a wife, and Louis is absolutely sure no one can tell he's losing his mind with lust.

Bookmarker's Notes
Sexy and emotional Regency Loustat, with all the well-mannered feuds and awkward social calls that entails. Jane Austen would approve.
