Jaskier snuffles and then snorts in a distinctly unattractive way, and Geralt can’t help the way it makes him smile slightly. It’s enough to let him blow out the candle and take his place in bed, Jaskier immediately wriggling closer to his warmth. Having given up on keeping to sides years ago, Geralt allows it, even slowly moving an arm beneath his head to let him lie more comfortably.
Love, he thinks again, studying Jaskier’s face, his ruffled hair, the smudged kohl along his lashline, the slight slackness of his mouth. The bard slumps against him with an absolute trust that still makes him feel a little breathless.
Love, he thinks again, closing his eyes. He loves the bard.
Fuck.

Summary
It's a silly, silly thing, to keep the first coin Geralt gave him.
It's a foolish, sentimental show of whimsy to hold onto a bit of metal that the witcher likely forgot about the second it left his hand.
There's no point in keeping it. None at all. It would be absurd to hold onto it when it could be better spent on ale or bread or doublets.
Jaskier sews it a special pocket in his bag.
(Jaskier's life changed the day Geralt left him that coin. How could he NOT keep it?)

Summary
“Why do you only like some of your clothes?” Jaskier asks thoughtfully, three hours into the day.
Geralt looks to him from the corner of his eye.
“You’ll wear them all eventually,” Jaskier says in a tone that makes it clear he’s hard at work theorizing, “but you’ll wear some of them multiple times before you’ll wear the rest. They’re all black, so I know it can’t be about style.” The quick side glance he gets after that tells Geralt that Jaskier has his doubts about the existence of such a thing to begin with.
(Geralt has sensory issues with his clothes) (Of course he would never think to fix this) (Luckily Jaskier has some thoughts and feelings about it)

There’s a beat of silence—too long, too loaded.Eddie’s heart stutters, thudding hard against his ribs as he waits, breath held. God's really decided to test him today.
Then Christopher answers, casually, like it’s the easiest thing in the world. “No… he lives in L.A.”

“My math, uh…after the lightning, I was really good at math? That…hasn’t gone away.”
“Oh.” Eddie blinks, then, “What?” Because he could’ve sworn…but looking back on it, there's no reason to think that it went away. No reason except…for the hours he has dedicated to making Eddie's son teach him math.
