Summary
Satoru is propped up against the wall under the window, clutching a hand to his side and he’s covered in a dark substance, glowing and iridescent as if there’s glitter in it.
“Satoru! Are you hurt?” Suguru rushes out and in his haste to get out of bed he almost tangles himself up in his blanket but he manages to get to Satoru’s side without faceplanting into the ground.
“Don’t look, please don’t look,” Satoru chokes out, and he tries to curl up, to make himself as small as possible even as he lets out a pained whimper.
“Satoru, what’s going on?” Suguru whispers, hands hovering unsurely over Satoru’s frame and he still doesn’t understand what he’s seeing.

Summary
He hits the ground hard. His elbow slams ungracefully into the soil, and it sends a shot of pain up his arm that is entirely foreign. There is dirt stuck to the sweat at the nape of his neck. Unbelievable. The novelty of it is intoxicating.
Satoru blinks up from flat on his back, and Suguru is already there to meet him with his hand outstretched. He is hit, suddenly, with the novelty of this too. Suguru’s smile is crooked and small and smug, and he looks just as breathless as Satoru feels.
Suguru blocks out the world, filling up the entirety of Satoru’s vision. In the stretched-out second where neither of them move, he is more beautiful than the sun.
Or: Gojo Satoru has spent his whole life looking to be seen.

Satoru makes some bastardization of a sound, half between a laugh and a cough. “...Whoops?”
“I,” Suguru grits, pinching two fingers together, “am this close to mass murder.” He’s joking. Probably.
///OR: Shortly before Getō would have massacred a village, he and Gojō are thrust eleven years forward into a would-have-been future that Getō is conspicuously absent from.
