Summary
It's been five years since Nevermore and since Wednesday and Enid parted ways for different lives on different coasts – Wednesday leading a quiet life as a writer in upper Manhattan; Enid floating through jobs and significant others, trying to get a handle on adult life in San Francisco. Everything changes after Enid finds herself running from an abusive relationship straight to Wednesday’s doorstep and Wednesday finds herself struggling with her repressed feelings for Enid as she invites her back into her life to help her old friend get back on her feet.

Summary
The weight of it almost broke her, sending her spiraling, shattering her to tiny black pieces as she felt Enid’s dead fingers around her neck in every nightmare, and she threw herself into the investigation of Lois, of Willow Hill, anything to prevent it from happening. In the end, she messed up again. Made everything worse, just like her mother told her she would. Couldn’t even keep Enid safe.
Wednesday is traumatised, plagued by nightmares and flashbacks, her guilt and mistakes weighing her down like a pile of rocks thrown into water to make a corpse sink to the bottom. She hurts herself as punishment.
It’s a shame she forgot about Enid’s keen sense of smell.

Enid suspects that her girlfriend self-harms. The thought breaks her heart, but Wednesday admits nothing. She feels lost and asks advice from her closest friends. Now everyone is worried.
As it turns out, they are right to be.

Years have passed since her time at Nevermore. Wednesday Addams comes back after Weems asks for her help on behalf of a young psychic struggling with his power. But did she come back for altruistic purposes, or because a certain pink wolf started teaching at the academy ?

Wednesday has just left Nevermore but the next semester is on the horizon. Closer than anyone thought. Her stalker has seemingly taken part in the holiday break but will that last once everyone’s locked back in the educational penitentiary?
The new term promises to have more mystery and deceit but the pigtailed psychic has her doubts it could live up to her newfound expectations.
In the meantime, she will need to suffer being back at her parents’ manor. In her desperation to get away from their excessive displays of affection, she thought of an idea which wriggled around the back of her mind for weeks. It might be time to finally see how foggy San Francisco promised to be.
