Sequel to Collecting Rain Water.
Eight years have passed since the Operatives-a group of children experimented on and trained by CADMUS-found themselves free from the clutches of the man who called himself their father.
But things have changed. With the knowledge of their own origins the children have gone down drastically different paths and grown further apart than the ever would have imagined.
What happened to Drucilla, and why won't Daniel speak to any of the other Operatives?
Is Kira in the right, or should she be condemned?
Raya isn't sure who her family is, even after meeting her birth parents. Part of her feels like they can never really know her.
Colin thinks that he got out of the masked community and started a life for himself, but can he ever really escape?

As Coach Wilson peered out the window in the living room, May said, very quietly, “You didn’t realise your brother worked at Peter’s school?”
“We all make mistakes!” Sam hissed.
Then Coach Wilson was leaning back and a figure in a hoodie and jeans stepped through the window and into the living room, and Peter’s heart sank into his stomach like a rock. Sam’s brother was, true to story, scarred from head to toe. He could see the puckered skin on his hands, the burns across his bald head. But that wasn’t the shocking part—the shocking part was that he’d already seen it before: he’d seen it when a certain vigilante’s suit had been destroyed three nights before, and Peter had walked with him back to his backpack to loan him some clothes.
“This is Wade,” Sam introduced.
Sam Wilson had two brothers: one was Peter’s gym teacher, and the other was fucking Deadpool.

Summary
There is exactly one person who remembers the name Peter Parker, and that’s Spider-Man. Although the spell prevented the multiverse from tearing itself apart, Peter’s problems are far from over. The number of people calling for his arrest grows every day, and it’s not easy to live your life when you no longer exist.
Luckily for him, the apartment above him belongs to two really good lawyers, and they know every vigilante in the city. With their help — and the assistance of two Avengers intent on rising from the dead — Peter may just be able to find his way in this strange new world.
