Summary
Izuku sighed. He silently wondered if sighing here in the Vestige world would equate to sighing out there, in his sleep. Did exhaustion here come directly from the exhaustion he felt in real life? That would make sense but he tried not to focus on it too hard. His body felt floaty enough that he didn’t have to truly worry about the exhaustion for a while.
The Vestiges weren’t here. Izuku was by himself for the first time since he inherited a two century old war, but he wasn’t alone.

In a different universe, All Might beat All for One the first time. He quietly retired, leaving things to the next generation. Class 1-A were not attacked by villains, Nomus never existed and there was no war.
Midoriya Izuku also never got All Might’s quirk. He never went to UA. He never became a hero.
He instead decided to use his skills in quirk analysis for a very different career path. Midoriya may never be a hero, but that doesn’t mean that people won’t know his name and it certainly doesn’t mean he can’t help people. It just means that he does it a little differently.

OR: A Baldur's Gate 3/My Hero Academia crossover wherein Midoriya and Aizawa are taken by the Mind Flayer ship as it attempts to flee the githyanki and both wind up in the middle of a plot concocted by an evil, terrifying cult. Shinsou Hitoshi stared down at the stub in his hand. He still didn’t quite believe that he’d made it this far, if he was being totally honest with himself. Sure, he had ignored everyone at school who’d told him to quit while he was ahead, and sure he’d maybe possibly forged his foster mother’s signature to get here, but the glint of UA’s embossed logo at the top of his Hero course entrance exam details still knocked the wind out of him.
He was going to do this. He was going to prove every single one of those assholes wrong and become a Hero.

Crisp and clinical and scarily devoid of emotion with the blue mask in place. "I was undergoing a training exercise with a new group. Two quirks collided. While pushing another teammate out of the way, I felt a bolt of lightning hit me, and then the next thing I knew I was falling from the sky into your training facility."
"Can we take off the hood?" Aizawa grunted. "I think we're past the need for mystery."
Without asking, Nezu's paw snapped forward and gently tugged the hood and mask away, revealing a sheepish smile.
"My name is Midoriya Izuku, he/they, and I'm pretty sure I've just fallen face first into an alternate dimension," the stranger said with a low, awkward chuckle. Nezu threw his head back and cackled.
