“I assure you, Mr. Sharp,” Alek said. “I have no concerns about your intentions.”

“Yes, yeah, I just- I know you’ve been busy with your responsibilities on base. I didn’t want to add more stress to that”
Alejandro smiles in that stupidly endearing way that Rudy never gets tired of.
“I... I don't want you to worry about me. We’ve done this together for over two decades. He smiles softly, “-and I'm not going to fall apart now.”
Rudy steps toward him, “I know. I just-
Or- Rudy hides a secret from Alejandro and it unravels into a bigger mess than he could imagine.

Alejandro tilts his head, eyes widening, “Yes... yeah, I want to know what’s going on. What happened on the mission?”
“Rudy didn’t make it out of that room,” he replies, face impassive, as if he hadn’t just said something completely absurd.
“What? You’re right here,” Alejandro says carefully, eyebrows drawing together.
Rudy fidgets, and something about it reminds Alejandro of a wild animal, cagey and ready to attack if you get too close. He stares unblinkingly, “I'm not him. He died in that room.”
Alejandro clears his throat, trying to hold off the panic that’s setting in, “Rudy...you aren’t making any sense. The “you're scaring me” goes unsaid.
Or- Rudy is acting strange, claiming he died and came back to life. Meanwhile, Alejandro is desperately trying to find out what's going on.
