Summary
“That’s not my favorite.”
“Oh.” Will blinks. “What is?”
Mike’s tongue darts out to wet his lower lip. “O negative.” Will feels a flush move across his entire body. His magic hums inside of him, excited. His fingers twitch against the carton. Maybe Will was wrong, maybe this is different than having a favorite kind of pizza. More personal. O negative sits differently in Will’s head than double black olives with extra cheese does. More intimate.
“Oh.” Will blinks again. And maybe O negative sits differently in Will’s head, because it also flows through his veins. He feels obligated to tell Mike. “I’m O negative.”
Mike’s pupils widen again. “I know.” His voice is low, gravelly.
Will’s breath hitches again. “You know?” He flinches when Mike’s fingers graze his, peeling the carton out of Will’s hand.
Mike takes a deep breath. “I can smell it.”
Or, five times that Will offered Mike his blood and the one time that Mike accepted.

Summary
“Not into the whole superhero thing, then?” Steve asks Nancy.
“Of course she isn’t,” Jonathan mutters. “Nancy cares about real journalism.”
Steve raises his eyebrows. “And Spider-Man isn’t?”
“A man in tights swinging from webs?” Jonathan deadpans. “Definitely not, no.”
In which: Jonathan is the unfortunate Daily Bugle intern tasked with taking pictures of New York's new favorite superhero, Steve struggles with the trials and tribulations of maintaining a secret identity, and Nancy is just trying to do some actual goddamn investigative journalism for once.
Or, an au where Steve is Spider-Man.

Summary
Will moves back to an upright position, wiping his hair out of his eyes, head and shoulders peeking above the water. “Mike,” he says, pulling Mike up with him, their fingers still intertwined.
“Yeah?” Mike says, tilting his head so the water trickles out of his ears, wincing slightly. “What is it?”
Will’s eyes dart back and forth between his, and then Mike feels his hand squeeze his own. “I don’t want you to, like, think I moved back for you,” he starts, which in and of itself would be enough to get Mike’s soul soaring straight out of his own body, if it weren’t for Will’s thumb pressed against his pulse point like some kind of mortal tether. “Because it’s not like that, I promise. But I think– I think I realized there’s a difference between things you want and things you need, you know?”
mike wheeler on losing people and having them again, the difference between wanting and needing, and finally letting go.

Summary
“Tomorrow,” Jonathan says, hesitantly. “If I don’t believe you right away. We should have a code word, or something.”
“It won’t . . . ” Nancy sighs, and shrugs a little. “That won’t work. You won’t remember this at all.” She gives him a rueful smile. “I’m the only one who will.”

Summary
Will’s expression smoothes out then, and he’s looking at Mike in consideration, like he sees him in all the ways Mike does not want to be seen.
“You were jealous,” Will offers it like it’s a fact, simple as that, and Mike nearly doubles over with the shock of it, an immediate blow to whatever unbothered facade he’d been attempting to put on for Will.
“Was not,” but his voice is so weak that he nearly collapses in embarrassment, an omission of guilt clear as day.
Mike is in love with Will. He tries very hard to love him quietly.

The prose in this is gorgeous and the writing is so easy to get lost in. Love love love. Makes me want to have an unrequited crush real bad
