“There’s no motive, nothing like you’re thinking,” Harry replied, glancing at him. “I don’t know what the alphas out there want. I just want a chance to show that I can be a good alpha that can fulfil your needs, both as your mate as well as in supporting you in your Luna duties. Just a chance to show you how well I could care for you, if you were to pick me.”
Louis was floored by his sincerity. “That’s all you want? Just that?” Just me?

"Su majestad, ¿está todo bien?" un hombre, completamente cubierto con una armadura negra de pies a cabeza, abrió la puerta bruscamente.
La respiración de Louis se cortó, sin registrar del todo el término honorífico que el hombre usó para él, pero reconociendo completamente dos cosas; primero, la corona negra de espinas sobre su cabeza, haciendo que el velo oscuro que cubría su rostro se asentara en su lugar. Había un símbolo en su pecho, dos serpientes entrelazadas en lo que parecía ser un círculo, que representaba la conexión de Orcus con la vida y la muerte. Un recordatorio para todos en el orden de que la muerte era constante e infinita.
El hombre que estaba de pie frente a él, tenso y alerta, era un caballero, un caballero de Orcus. Louis tomó una respiración irregular.
¿Qué clase de pesadilla era esta?
Un cuento tan antiguo como el tiempo, un villano se enamora de un héroe ya tomado que sólo quiere matarlo.
