Summary
When Arthur finds a hut with a bubbling caldron of mysterious liquid inside, his curiosity overpowers his better sense. After taking a drink, Arthur passes out, only to wake up in the spring of 1897. Sitting by his bedside is Eliza, with a ring on her finger and Isaac alive and well. Eliza - the strange liquid seems to have transported him to a different life. What could have been. But Arthur's memories of events that have passed, or more accurately, are yet to come, are still present. He must choose between a family he has no memory of, or trying to find and save the gang from events that will send them on the road to ruin.
To a man who is loyal to what matters, which matters most?

The first time John Marston gets shot- actually, properly shot, not just skimmed or grazed by a bullet- he finds he barely even remembers how it happened. There had been a gunfight, obviously, but there had been so many gunfights in those first few years that he finds the causes of them all slowly begin to blend together in the way things often do when you are not privy to the reasons for them. And so, the how remained, for the rest of his life, shrouded in some strange, half-mystery. But he finds he remembers plenty about what happened after it.
He remembers the smell of ash. Remembers it burning on his tongue and in the back of his throat, acrid and smothering. He remembers turning to face the sound of horse hooves with his gun still pointed firmly in the opposite direction, and then he remembers falling, falling, falling. The warm afternoon air on his cheeks. The mouthful of gravel that meets him on the way down
John Marston remembers a fair bit about the day he first got shot. He remembers even more about how Arthur Morgan looked with his guts half-strewn across a kitchen table.Series

When a mother and her young daughter are both flung back in time from the modern world to 1899, they quickly realize they have to do whatever it takes to survive in this wild place. While on the run from one such bad decision, a chance encounter gives them an opportunity for safety and family. But past scars run deep and trust isn't a luxury they've been able to afford for a long time. How long can those walls they've built last when a certain gang seems determined to break them down, or when a certain blue eyed outlaw develops his own soft spot for the pair? A story of broken people finally finding their missing pieces that had been scattered across time itself.
Yes another time travel fic, I'm obsessed with playing around with it. Especially since we know time travel exists in their universe!
