Summary
Against the title, this is not a work in progress, but it's more hastily sketched out than what I usually write, and I'm trying to be okay with that. (Stories don't have to have a clear direction!) I don't think it's great, but it was fun to write, and I wanted to post it.
Harry Potter works for Misuse of Muggle Artifacts, has an enthusiastic assistant, and gets well-meaning advice from everyone in his life that he completely ignores. (Of course.) He might possibly be bored, maybe, which is why he rashly agrees to a highly suspicious invitation from Draco Malfoy to go on "vacation" to the chilly ruins of the Avebury stones. They may or may not discover a cult.
TW: Strong language. Gratuitous poshness and consumption of wines.

Xie Lian’s string was red. It was supposed to indicate that his person was all of it wrapped up in one—that there was one person in the world who would be his friend, his family, all of it. However, the older Xie Lian got, the more he began to think that maybe red just meant he had nobody at all.
