Summary
The man’s voice once again broke him from his thoughts; “In my dreams I see them tortured by Fire Nation soldiers. I see my entire culture wiped from the South, our footprint upon the ice shelves gone as though we never existed, our connection with the spirits and our ancestors forgotten.” He was silent for the briefest of moments, then, “You’re Fire Nation, aren’t you?”
Zuko rolled onto his side, facing the wall, scar pressed into the arm that cushioned his head. “Once, maybe.”
“Answer me this, then; when will this war see it's end?”
Zuko, recalling the fire that had burned in Azula’s sunlit gaze the day she’d caught up to him, chose not to respond.

Summary
It really wasn’t a big deal. He had known there was a possibility of it happening even before he had given himself up. He had thought that Vox was a gentleman, but apparently that had changed since the years they had known each other.
Or Vox raped Alastor while he was his captive, and Alastor is in denial about how badly it's affecting him.

Summary
There was a ringing in Alastor’s ears. It was almost the only thing he’d noticed since he arrived in Hell, and it wasn’t stopping.
And everyone seemed quiet. Which was not what he expected from a place like this. But the quiet felt… wrong.Or, an AU where, upon Alastor's death, both the impact and sheer decibel level of the gunshot that kills him causes his sinner form to be hard-of-hearing

Summary
“Your haircut is shit.”
Alastor’s ears flick in Velvette’s direction but he doesn’t look to her, the swivel chair creaking as he instead adjusts his arms underneath Vox’s loose wiring.
This was one of the few moments Vox had graced Alastor with his absence - Valentino had practically begged Vox to give Alastor to Velvette while she had been taking a break so they could have some… ‘alone time’ - and Alastor had taken this as his chance to relax. To imagine he was in the hotel, his radio tower, a bayou… anywhere except Vee tower, and he refuses to let anything ruin his peace.
“Just wanted to remind you in case somebody hadn’t in the last five minutes.”
Velvette was making that incredibly hard though.
Or:
Unstoppable force (Velvette, somebody who changes her hair multiple times a day) meets immoveable object (Alastor, somebody who hasn't changed his hair in a century).OR:
Velvette helps Alastor get rid of his bob cut.Bookmarked by Fireborrito108
