Summary
Answering Prime’s call to return to Cybertron promptly lands Hot Rod and the rest of the Steelhaven’s crew in chains. The Quintessons have arrived first, enslaving both Autobots and Decepticons alike. Slavery sucks, so Hot Rod allies himself with the unreadable Soundwave. so that they escaping the Quintessons together. Ideally without either Soundwave or the Quintesson's knowing that the matrix of leadership is in tow. However, if they want to save the others, they first have to survive Cybertron’s depths.

Ultra Magnus professionally collaborates with Soundwave, administers a conditional surrender agreement, and establishes a desperately-needed appeals process, all while Optimus Prime lays critically injured in the infirmary. He also imprisons Jazz in a supply closet. Everything is fine.

Specifically specifically the transparent panel of his dock, bare now of brand and slightly bowed.
